One of the ingredients from my workshop ‘Relieving Stress with Humour’ is healthy mental activity.
Some of my favorite “shelf help” books offer me great insight everyday like ‘Younger Next Year’ by Crowley and Lodge.
Crowley and Lodge say that we can turn our biological clocks back, or at least, slow down the aging process by taking care of ourselves, They say that fifty of illnesses are preventable.
Crowley and Lodge say that by overeating, not exercising and cutting ourselves off from the clan (by not socializing) is what animals do before they hibernate. It’s as if our bodies go into a natural depression to slow down.
Attention: Cavemen and Cave women-WE’VE GOT TO GET OFF OF OUR COMPUTERS  AND GET OUT OF OUR CAVES!
Because when we do the opposite: when we exercise, when we watch what we eat, when we form and keep good and long – lasting relationships with other, overall, we are mentally and physically telling our body that everything is okay. We want to live to see another spring!
‘Younger Next Year’ by Crowley and Lodge- an excellent self-help read!
