Lincoln – go see this movie. Here's why.

Lincoln.
Every school kid should have to see this movie…and adult, for that matter.
Here’s something to think about.
Abraham Lincoln. Born 1809.  A prominent white man who stood up and saved the poor black man.
Barrack Obama. Born nearly one hundred years later. A prominent black man who stood up and saved the poor white man..and black man..and hispanic..etc.
Coincidence?
Daniel Day Lewis is AMAZING. Best oscar. You feel like you are tearing the fabric of time and looking back into history.
This movie isn’t 007 excitement but it’s important. Go see it.

The Hunger Games movie – Suzanne Collins can be proud.

The Hunger Games movie- author Suzanne Collins can be proud. I just saw it last night and I loved it. Like many Hunger Games fans, I was worried that the movie wouldn’t live up to the book.
I read The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay in about 2 weeks total. I LOVED the books. So when I heard The Hunger Games movie was coming out..I thought, ‘uh oh’. Do I want to ruin it and see the flick?
